The cup we all know and love starts as a seed and undergoes a complex chain of processing, shipping, roasting and brewing. Each one of these steps is crucial for quality and the final beverage. Our Intro to Coffee class will explore each step of this journey, and you’ll walk away knowing how special your morning coffee really is. You’ll sample a range of coffees and partake in a basic tour through coffee growing, processing types, roasting methods and brewing. After discussion, you’ll learn to cup coffee to evaluate what you’ve learned. Cupping is a procedure used throughout a coffees’ journey to evaluate quality and assess flavor. By the end of the class, you’ll have a much deeper understanding of the coffee industry and appreciation for our favorite beverage. Questions are welcome, this is an introductory class designed for coffee experience of all levels. Tickets are refundable up to 96 hours before the scheduled class. Unfortunately we cannot accommodate refunds closer to the class date. Class is limited to 8 participants to allow for plenty of Q&A, and all attendees will receive 10% off coffee on the class date!
