Description

The Organization of African Students Presents: Africa Day 2023 "Resurgence". It is a day dedicated to celebrating the continent through a themed fashion show that showcases the diverse fashions throughout the continent. The day is also filled with poems, rhythmic performances of traditional dances from around the continent, and an original dance drama (performed by the AfroHoos). The awardees of the OAS Scholarship fund will also be presented during Africa Day. Through this event, OAS brings a piece of Africa right here to UVA grounds so students get to celebrate themselves and the beauty of their culture.
