The 2023 Miami Valley Cycling Summit is a conference style event hosted by Bike Miami Valley and the City of Dayton. This regional event will be held on May 19, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the main branch of the Dayton Metro Library. This year's Miami Valley Cycling Summit is presented by Wagner Subaru! The event welcomes elected officials, government staff, neighborhood leaders and cycling advocates. This year’s theme is “Cycling Builds Community.” Content experts will detail how cycling can improve the transportation, health, and economic vitality of the Miami Valley. The program includes many informative sessions featuring projects in the community and best practices nationally. The keynote speaker is Andy Williamson of West Virginia University, where he is Director of Outdoor Community Development at the Brad & Alys Smith Outdoor Economic Development Collaborative. His career path includes work in the Miami Valley, including with Five Rivers MetroParks. Andy will cover the importance of the Outdoor Economy.
