On April 15, at 7:00 p.m. at the Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, Newtown CT, there will be a free film screening of the arthouse film Shards of Time.A fifteen-episode journey that strings together the plots of the illustrated and authored graphic novel series by Mark Aldrich. Travel the globe with the SPOOL Society on their many poignant adventures around the globe; their stories reflect issues relevant to today as they save old buildings and protect the environment from malign forces. Actors will dramatize episodes with song, dance, sword fighting and an educational segment on the history of buildings and events will be presented. There will be an art show at the Edmond Town Hall in the Mary Hawley Room, running from March 15 through April 30, featuring scenes from the graphic stories, and three of the graphic novels will be available for sale the night of the performance.
