On April 1st, 2023, we will be hosting our 6th Annual Pre-Health Conference titled “Cracking the Crisis: Decoding Addiction.” This year, the conference aims to give students at Rutgers Newark, future healthcare providers, a thorough understanding on the topic of addiction, so that they can be powerful advocates for future patients and promote wellness. Undoubtedly, the journey to becoming a healthcare professional is demanding in every aspect, and as advocates of health, it is vital to understand conditions such as addiction and care for ourselves in the same manner we expect our patients to. With presentations from established, well-rounded professionals and interactive workshops, the conference’s main intention is to help students realize their immense potential, be aware of resources available to them and provide insight into the pre-health career of their choice.
