"Passport to Europe" with Joy Lindholm Join us on Wednesday, March 22nd, for a one-time only, special Sip & Learn class! Joy Lindholm, Western Regional Manager and wine expert from Skurnik Wines, will be our special guest speaker and will take you on a tour of Europe! Get your passports ready, because you’ll be tasting your way through Austria, France, Germany, and Spain! Joy will be discussing each country and region and what makes it special and unique in the wine world. She will also discuss the details of each wine you’ll be tasting, along with the flavor profiles. Here are the regions/styles you’ll be tasting: Austria: Gruner VetlinerFrance: a white Burgundy, a red Burgundy, and a red RhoneGermany: a dry Riesling, a sweet Riesling, and a red Pinot MeunierSpain: a red Mencia-based blendThis is a great way to taste many different Old World wines with an expert! Space is limited to 28 people, so get your tickets now! This event will take place in Omaha Wine Company's classroom. Our classroom can seat 28 people (7 tables of 4 persons each). If you have another couple or group you would like to be seated with, please let us know, and we will do our best to seat you together. Please note: this tasting is a traditional, Sommelier-style wine tasting, and only water and plain crackers will be offered in order to allow the full aromas and flavors of the wines to shine. Joy's Bio: Joy Lindholm is the Western Regional Manager for Skurnik Wines & Spirits’ National Sales Team. Born and raised in Omaha, she is a hospitality industry veteran who became enamored with wine during culinary school and later while working in fine dining restaurants as a sommelier and beverage director. Now based in Denver, she travels frequently, introducing people to Skurnik’s global wine and boutique spirits portfolio. Her real passions are European wine, especially Riesling and Champagne, and a newfound love of small batch mezcal.
