Award-winning writer-director Mark Bristol will speak about his work as a professional storyboard artist, staging and planning action sequences on such films as Richard Linklater’s Dazed and Confused (1993), Terrence Malick’s The Thin Red Line (1998), and Christopher McQuarrie’s Mission: Impossible—Fallout (2018). Artwork by Bristol can be seen in the Center’s exhibition, Drawing the Motion Picture: Production Art and Storyboards, which is on view through July 16, 2023. Arrive early to see the exhibition!
Mark Bristol is a member of the Art Directors Guild and serves on the SXSW Film Festival Advisory Board.
