Vocal Activation and Soundbath with Cacao

We open the session with organic ceremonial cacao from Lake Atitlan, Guatemala; nature's most potent superfruit, expanding the connection between our hearts, the earth, and each other. We continue to get into our instrument, our body, with some gentle movement, breathing, and vocal warm-ups. Next is a guided practice of chakra toning and voice melding. Vocal toning stimulates the vagus nerve, responsible for restoring relaxation after a stress response. *We are not here to IMPRESS, we are here to EXPRESS. It is some people's first time truly releasing or hearing their own sound, their own voice* Once we have been juiced up by creating and sharing sound, our hearts and bodies opened, you are more fully able to lay back and receive frequency throughout your entire body and energetic systems. Soundbath encourages the mind to shift into a more relaxed brainwave state, where our innate internal healing powers can activate. -- LOCATION -- Lifted Pole Fitness Studio (574 Searls Avenue, Nevada City, CA) There are a few yoga mats available, but please bring your own cozy nests for the soundbath (yoga mats, camping pads, blankets, pillow, etc.) ------------------------------------------------------------ Meghan Smolka (@heartwatermusic) is a certified Nāda Yoga sound healer, Priestess, meditation guide, cacao ceremonialist, and Reiki Master Teacher. She aims to share sound in ways that assist the return to a more peaceful brainwave, so our natural and innate healing systems can activate. Meghan uses crystal and himalayan singing bowls, overtone singing, chimes, bells, medicine drum, recorded nature sounds, and other instruments to weave a sonic landscape upon which each receiver roams for their highest good
