Learn about our work with equitable accessible community solar gardens to democratize and decolonize our renewable energy transition.
Find out where we’re headed next with our collaboration and support!
All proceeds go to supporting leading while learning with community about climate impacts, climate justice, and equitable community solar garden development in Minneapolis and beyond.
The primary purpose of community solar is to allow members of a community the opportunity to share the benefits of solar power. Participants get a reduced Xcel electric bill by owning the electricity generated by the community solar garden, which costs less than the price they would ordinarily pay to Xcel.
We are creating an innovative model for equitable, accessible community solar gardens funded by neighborhoods that bring benefits to the neighborhood and garden subscribers, regardless of whether you rent or own, with no money down, and regardless of income or credit score. True COMMUNITY solar!
