Why is 70% of venture capital funding concentrated in just five metropolitan cities on the East and West coasts? One reason may be the lack of access to funding for startups in the Midwest. Midwest Ventures Conference is working to change that by bringing top student-run or recently graduated startups from prestigious Midwestern universities together with venture firms to help close Seed or Series A funding rounds and create an ecosystem where everyone can celebrate the growing entrepreneurial scene in the Midwest.
