Description

Have you ever viewed a piece of art or heard a song and a wave of emotions just hit you? Joy. Sadness. Nostalgia. Longing. Awe. These are all emotions commonly associated with great art. Picture those emotions: do you see a color? You’ve heard the expression “seeing red” to describe anger. It’s just one example of many of the connections between colors and emotions. In this workshop, led by Central Florida Community Arts teaching artist Simone Boos, you’ll learn some basic watercolor techniques while also connecting different colors with emotions. This program is presented by Simone Boos and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.    About the Presenter:   Simone Boos is a native of Indianapolis and an alumna of Alma College, where she earned dual degrees in Dance and English. Over the course of her professional performing career, she appeared in countless productions with various theater and dance companies, including Ballet Internationale, Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre, Island Moving Company, Surfscape Contemporary Dance Theatre, Third Coast Dance Company, and RAKR Dance, and has toured both nationally and internationally. She has over a decade of experience teaching and choreographing for aspiring dancers of all ages both here in Central Florida and throughout the US. Simone is a professional portrait & wedding photographer, graphic & web designer, and a certified barre3 instructor. Simone joined CFCArts as a teaching artist in 2022 and is happy to have called Orlando, specifically Winter Park, home for the last 6+ years!
