In honor of Second Chance Month, it's important to bring awareness to the importance of helping individuals returning from incarceration or those with a criminal background. As Lower Shore Re-entry Navigator for The Maryland Department of Labor, I’m very passionate about reducing recidivism and helping this clientele overcome barriers. Ms. Shreeves, Regional Reentry & Transition Services Specialist with DPSCS Eastern Correctional Institution, and I will be hosting three Re-entry Job & Resource Fairs in each county next month. We will be gathering local community resources in one space to assist individuals in our communities to build meaningful second chances. Employers and providers will be available to talk and assist attendees with MWE registration, résumés, federal bonding, vocational programs, employment opportunities, housing, utility assistance, health care, mental health services, substance abuse programs, voter registration, and other local resources. Local Veteran Employer Representatives & Disabled Veteran Outreach Program Specialists will also be available.*These events are free and open to the entire community. PARKINGFree parking.FOOD IS PERMITTED AT THIS VENUE.
