These works evidence Benedicts’ skill working across styles and materials, creating unique structures that respond to their prominent contexts on some of Denver’s most celebrated parks and parkways. An esteemed early 20th Century Denver architect and graduate of the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Jacques Benedict (1879-1947) produced nearly 80 Beaux Arts style buildings in the Rocky Mountain region. The classical proportions, ornamentation and unmatched beauty of Benedict’s designs continue to serve as an enduring source of delight and inspiration.
