Since 1982, Black Spartans at San Jose State University have been instrumental in ensuring that there is space and opportunity for Black/African American students to be recognized and celebrated for their accomplishments. Each year in May we honor our Black undergraduate and graduate students receiving degrees for that calendar year. This year we are celebrating 41 years of Black Excellence at SJSU during the 41st Annual Black Graduation Celebration. This amazing occasion offers a chance for friends, family, and loved-ones to gather and celebrate all of their student's accomplishments while creating a culturally immersive experience. Guest TicketsEach registered student will receive unlimited guest tickets at NO cost. Guest tickets can be claimed through Eventbrite. * Guest tickets are NOT required for participating graduates. Guest tickets are required for all guests age three and up. Guest ticket allowance is subject to change based on capacity, CDC, state and county health guidelines. Event ParkingPlease follow the directions below and purchase your parking permit ahead of time: Presold parking permits via the link below are at a discounted rate of $4.00/each. Parking permits will cost $5.00/each on the day of the event. Due to high traffic impact, please consider parking in the North Garage (10th & San Fernando). It is important to pre-purchase your parking permit ahead of time since attempting to purchase at the permit dispenser could delay you from getting to the event on time.
