Come join us for the biggest crawfish boil in Central Louisiana on the patio and lawn at Spirits Food and Friends - Live music by Eric Johanson and Zach Edwards and The Medicine - Crawfish by HotHeads The Mudbug party begins at 4pm. Tickets are $55 for adults, and includes 4lbs of crawfish, corn, potato and sausage. Kids are $15 and includes 1lb of crawfish, corn and potato. Additional crawfish will be available for purchase at event. Crawfish By: Hot Heads Crawfish Eric Johanson: Eric Johanson is a multiple Top 10 Billboard-charting guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter whose original music stretches beyond traditional genre lines of blues, rock, and progressive Americana, all while feeding off the groove and history of his home in New Orleans. His four most recent solo releases – Live at DBA: New Orleans Bootleg, Covered Tracks: Vol. 1, Covered Tracks: Vol. 2, and Below Sea Level – all reached top-ten positions on the Billboard blues charts, and Guitar Player Magazine recently listed him as one of 25 Top New Blues Guitarists (Jan 2023 issue). As a touring performer, Johanson’s solo festival appearances include the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise, Las Vegas Big Blues Bender, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Crescent City Blues Fest, and others. He and his band have appeared in more than 100 cities across the United States. As a guitarist, Johanson has been a special guest to artists such as Cyril Neville, Anders Osborne, the Neville Brothers, Samantha Fish, Tab Benoit, JJ Grey, Eric Lindell, and a host of other torch bearers of modern roots music. Zach Edwards and The Medicine: Zach Edwards & Medicine, is a five-piece southern rock/soul/blues band based in Acadiana, Louisiana. With a distinct sound of the south, the band omits electric waves of audible nostalgia paying homage to the greats that came before them (Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Doors. Singer-songwriter Zach Edwards started his musical journey at the age of 7 in Houston, Texas. A distant uncle gave him the red Stratocaster you see him play live at shows, only to have said uncle mysteriously vanish and never return. Thus solidifying the young man’s destiny of taking the stage. Zach quickly moved to New Orleans at the age of 18 to cut his teeth putting together the (Zach Edwards Trio as well as Sabine Triad.) Learning from the city, he developed his booming, powerful vocal style that grabs your attention the moment the band takes the stage. The Medicine includes members Hunter Guidry (Drums), Gus Delahoussaye (Keys and Guitar), Austin Thibodeaux (Harmonica, Accordion, guitar, keys), and Benny Amos (Bass). Each member has a versatile background in music, playing in multiple groups prior to joining forces as medicine. (The Odd Fellows, Eagle Street, Shane Vanicort and Blues Intruders, Slant Seven, Reaper, and Mojo Black) Soulful crooning, mind-altering harmonica and guitar solos, electric organ, and driving bass and drums all come together to awaken your spirit and help you transcend the worries of this world!
