Introduction to Well Circles: New Moon Circles for Rosh Chodesh

Rosh Chodesh–which translates to “head of the month”–is a special Jewish holiday for women that marks the beginning of the new Hebrew month on the new moon. Obscured until the 1970s, when consciousness-raising groups changed the world, Rosh Chodesh began being celebrated again. One of the best things about this holiday is that there are no rules—which allows us the opportunity to create our own rituals. One ritual that is especially meaningful is creating a monthly New Moon Circle, or Well Circle as they’re called at At The Well. Well Circles are independently-run groups of 6-12 women who commit to meet every month around the time of Rosh Chodesh. You can enhance your personal wellness with an open-hearted, peer-led, community-based Well Circle with women in your life. At The Well offers resources and support to create these spaces with ease and meaning. Join us to meet Sarah Waxman, founder and CEO of At the Well, and enjoy an afternoon of healing and self-care. Experience a Well Circle led by Sarah and Kohenet Miki Raver and learn how At the Well resources can support you with all you’ll need to create a Rosh Chodesh ritual of your own.
