An ecstatic dance provides a safe, shame-free space to move freely as the music guides. No specific steps in this free flowing dance. Attendees are encouraged to move anyway they desire and lose themselves (to find themselves). The body stores stress and traumas, and movement is an effective way to release and stay healthy. Oh yes, we spin, we sway, we shake, we slide - with the goal to feel better. This dance is inspired by Gabrielle Roth’s 5 rhythms (flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical, stillness) to unlock the mind/body to unlimited possibilities within. Oh yeah, we know it sounds awesome (it is!) and perhaps unlike anything you’ve done before - no worries, our leaders will guide you along the way. 𝐃𝐨 𝐈 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞? No dance or music experience necessary. We welcome every body type, any age, any buddy (bring a friend! why not?)
