Have you ever driven to work or a friends' home distracted by your thoughts & wondered upon arriving how you got there? While grateful that you reached your destination safely, what did you miss along the way? And then, there's stress. As you probably know, there are two kinds of stress; garden variety or occasional stress that passes quickly when we've achieved a goal or successfully met a due date. The other kind of stress, known as chronic stress, is more worrisome and can often manifest as an illness like cancer or heart disease. Mindfulness is a meditation-based practice that we take 'off the cushion' for a greater sense of awareness in daily life. Rather than reacting to situations and experiences, Mindfulness helps us become more aware of our thoughts and feelings as well as when we've been triggered by an external source. During these seven weeks, you will discover how being more mindful can enhance your relationships, your moods, your meals, your work and your life.
