ChessPalace is hosting a Scholastic chess tournament at SteelCraft Garden Grove. Open to students in Kindergarten to 12th grade only. US Chess Federation membership is required and can register for it onsite. Details on this outdoor chess tournament: Sections (*subject to change depending on the number of players) K-12th grade Open sectionK-8th grade Under 1000 K-5th grade rated Under 700 K-3rd grade Under 400Check-in between 9-9:15 AM and Round 1 starts at 9:30 AM with awards estimated at around 3:00 pm. There will be 4-5 rounds depending on time availability. Time control: Game 30 minutes, delay 5 seconds Awards: Trophies for 1st-3rd place in each section Entry Fee: $36  ($50 onsite) ***SteelCraft has a strict no outside food and drinks policy except for water bottles. Please purchase food and beverages from the food vendors.***
