ECO Event: Native Plants Inspire

It's nearly planting season, so here's your chance to problem-solve and dream about native plant ideas for your site! Whether you are just starting a project or are looking for ways to reimagine an existing native plant project, we are teaming up to provide just what you need! We'll start with MAEE board members leading the group in thinking about "Using Native Plants for Connecting People To Place," with stories, videos, group discussion, and a hands-on activity to learn and build community around native prairie plantings. MAEE will also share a variety of resources and materials you can take back to your site! Then, Minnesota Native Landscapes will join us to provide inspiration from native plant projects from all around the metro area. MNL staff will also be available to answer your site-specific questions, or help you choose the right plants to purchase, if desired, from MAEE's annual plant sale! Finally, we'll head out on a naturalist hike at MN Valley National Wildlife Refuge to see if we can spot any spring ephemerals or other native plants already making their appearance! We can't wait to connect and learn together with you!
