Fluke Award Henry M. Jackson Award Elson S. Floyd AwardOpportunity Lives Here AwardAbout Dr. Geoff Hill Dr. Geoff Hill is one of the premiere experts in North America on compost science. In his role at Mill, Dr. Hill oversees the science and manufacturing processes required in the conversion of household food into a safe and nutritious chicken feed ingredient. Geoff has extensive experience designing and implementing composting systems, spanning a wide range of scales from individual households to some of the largest municipal, industrial and commercial operations, including operation of Canada’s largest composting facility and design of one of Seattle’s premiere composting facilities (at Woodland Park Zoo). Dr. Hill’s research has been published in several prominent scientific journals. He is a regular presenter at national conferences including the US Compost Council Conference and Biocycle, and has been recognized with funding from esteemed organizations such as Calrecycle and the Natural Science and Engineer Research Council of Canada. Dr. Hill received his Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science and his Master of Science degree in Geography from the University of British Columbia. He holds a PhD in Compost Science from the University of British Columbia.
