Description

Jack London State Historic Park was once the home and ranch of the man and the legend, Jack London (born John Griffith Chaney), famous for his literary accomplishments as well as his dramatic exploits, exotic travels, and adventures. Jack's second wife, Charmian Kittredge London, was a force herself, a writer of several books, and Jack's editor and collaborator. The Park is a unique blend of stunning landscapes and historic buildings, managed by Jack London Park Partners. The group is the first non-profit organization to take up management of a state park on behalf of the people of California, having saved it from closure in 2012 due to state budgetary cuts. Plan to spend time here before the concert, touring the ruins of Jack & Charmian's home that burned before they moved in, the cottage they lived in for many years, Charmian's home built after Jack died, now a fascinating museum, and exploring the trails and vineyards before you join us at the piano in Beauty Ranch Meadow. info courtesy of Jack London Park Partners GOOD NEIGHBOR TICKETS Inspired by the Works Progress Administration’s (WPA) Federal Music and Theatre Projects, which presented thousands of free concerts and plays in theaters, public spaces and parks across the country during the Great Depression, our Good Neighbor Program provides access to those who might not otherwise be able to afford a ticket to this outdoor classical music experience.
