The laughter is coming to Owego when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at the John Barleycorn on Wednesday, April 5. Joel Lindley is headlining the show and Mike Terry and Greg Owens are joining host Mike Peters. The show starts at 7:30 p.m., and there's a recommended $5 donation at the door, which opens at 7. Come out and enjoy the show. About the comedians: Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast. Greg Owens is a Philadelphia transplant who moved to western New York to raise his family. He’s been entertaining audiences with his sardonic takes on suburban life, teenagers and middle age ever since. He recently left the corporate world because making laughs is way more enjoyable than making money. Owens has featured for Bobby Collins, Bobby Slayton, Jimmy Shubert, Moody McCarthy and Earl David Reed. Mike Terry is an established comedian in the Syracuse scene. Quiet until he gets on the mic, Terry is a strong comic who's worked all over New York. A host at the Funny Bone in Syracuse, Terry was a finalist for a residency at Broadway Comedy Club and was a regular at the 'Cuse Comedy Showcase. He also co-hosts the No Name Podcast with Jax-On. Joel Lindley is a comedian out of Rochester. He works regularly on cruise ships and has been on the Bob and Tom Show, Comedy Central and Dry Bar Comedy.
