Moore Park was founded in 1926 when 114 acres of land were donated to the City of Klamath Falls by Rufus and Clara Moore. In 1946 Clara and Mary Moore donated an additional 250 acres of land making Moore Park a 435-acre forest woodland, lakefront, and mixed recreational use regional park.
Further back into the past, this land was the prehistoric Eulalona Village site, home for centuries to the indigenous peoples of the Klamath Tribes who are still very present today throughout the region.
The piano will be set along the southern shores of the 91,000-acre Upper Klamath Lake, with vistas across the water reaching all the way to Crater Lake National Park.
