Description

Individuals living in rural environments often struggle to access medical and/or social services due to varying degrees isolation and/or distance from concentrated service areas. The COVID-19 pandemic has escalated the demand for services but restricted opportunities to meet those needs, also exacerbating health disparities. In this CHC we will identify specific prevalent regional barriers, existing resources, and prioritize future state with engaged stakeholders. Each participant will have equal opportunity to share their direct experience and/or work with individuals living in rural environments to inform future priorities and access existing resources. Community partners attending are encouraged to bring materials related to their work to offer direct assistance and share during networking opportunities. Community partners are encouraged to invite individuals with any and all residents, clients, and professionals that serve this population. Community partners are encouraged to share this opportunity with other organizations and colleagues.
