Registration opens April 27 at 6:00 am Join orinthologist and naturalist Dr. Pepper Trail on a birding exploration at Pompadour Bluff. We will likely see or hear Acorn Woodpecker, White-breasted Nuthatch, Oak Titmouse, Red-tailed Hawk, and Violet-green Swallow. If we're lucky, there may be Canyon Wren, Rock Wren, and Purple Martin. The Bluff is only occasionally open to the public for events, so this is a special treat! Guide: Dr. Pepper Trail Focus: Birding Limit: 15 Meeting Location: (near, not exact) Pompadour Bluff, meeting in Ashland to carpool. Difficulty: One-mile of moderately difficult walking on and off trail on steep slopes "birding" pace with an elevation gain of up to 200ft. While Covid restrictions have lifted, please exercise precaution and stay home if you are feeling ill. Contact SOLC staff for a possible raincheck. As much as we love our furry friends at SOLC, pets are not allowed. SOLC does make exceptions for ADA service animals. Companion animals, however, are not allowed.
