Swim, bike, run your way through Grants Pass along the stunning Rogue River! Club Northwest is hosting the 2nd annual Grants Pass Triathlon on Saturday June 24th, 2023! Triathlon & relay distance: 700 yard swim/ 12 mile bike / 5km run Duathlon distance: 12 mile bike / 5km run Bike Course: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39196166Approximately 12 miles from the club out to Upper River Road and back to the club. Run Course: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/39196196Approximately 5km (3.12 miles) from the club up Highland and back. Relay can be groups of 2 or 3 people. No racers under 18 years old can participate in the bike leg for relay or individual triathlon/duathlon due to road safety. Course is marked but not closed to vehicles. Bicycle helmets are MANDATORY at all times while handling a bicycle. Any type of bicycle is allowed. Swim will be conducted in the club pool that is 25 yards in length. There will be timers but racers are expected to keep track of their lap count. No assistance is allowed during racing, each athlete is to be self sufficient with snacks, water bottles and equipment. Bike mechanics and staff will be available for mechanical issues. Dropped bottles or trash on course will garner a 30 second penalty. Prices include safe swim environment (with lifeguards present), professional timing services, event t-shirt, marked bike and run course, prizes for top 3 in each age group and a family friendly celebration afterwards. Age groups will be determined once entries are closed. Event is non-refundable and tickets are non-transferrable. Participants will need to sign safety waivers prior to beginning the event the day of. After Party at the Club Northwest parking lot. Invite your friends and family to watch you finish the race and celebrate your victory. Awards will be held at 11am next to the finish line with awesome prizes thanks to our sponsors!
