Description

The City of Socorro Color Run is a 3K Fun Walk/Run. This is not for competition. The race is designed to have numerous stations splashing/throwing powder paint at the participants. This paint is a flour, corn starch, baking soda & FD & C dyes and is non-toxic; also free of any heavy metals. It can stain clothing, but most will wash out. As with anything dirty, we suggest washing garments sooner than later. Animals are not allowed to participate in the race. To avoid getting color on car seats we advise to bring towels for the ride home. The paint should not interfere with vision or breathing however we advise anyone with a breathing condition, or are pregnant consult their doctor before participating. To protect eyes we advise wearing sunglasses or a bandana around their mouth. The race is not timed, and there is a color explosion celebration held at the end of the race free to anyone who would like to participate. The first (100) one hundred participants who buy their registrations will receive a free Socorro Wellness Water Bottle! Free activities include: Zumba class, karate class, jumping balloons, face painting, door prizes, and the Easter egg hunt!
