Stronger Together: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Media & Information LiteracyLibrarians, educators, and media professionals all bring a unique lens to the question of media literacy. In this year’s Summit, we hope to explore what we can learn from each other as we navigate an increasingly complex information landscape. High school librarians, public librarians, educators and media professionals are especially encouraged to attend, along with librarians in higher education. In line with this year’s theme, we may have presentations on: Source evaluation and critical approaches to disinformationInformation creation as a process and students as creators of informationCollaborative and interdisciplinary approaches to media literacy Integration of media and information literacy concepts across the curriculumInteractive workshops that facilitate meaningful connections among participantsThe full program will be available in early April.
