*Before registering for this in-person portion, please go through the Beekeeping 101 and 201 class series prior to taking this class. *In this class, you will get to see many of the things mentioned in the 201 class and more. You will: Learn how to light a smoker; choose the proper PPE for youGo through a routine hive inspectionDo a varroa shake and moreYou will need to sign a waiver at the start of the class. Please wear close-toed shoes and full-length pants. Light colors are preferable. We will have jackets and veils available to those without, but if you have your own PPE we encourage you to bring it. *Every attendee must purchase a ticket since we are limited on the number of people we can have attended. Plus participants who fill out the post-test survey will receive some beekeeper tools and gear. Presented by JK Yarborough, Orange County Extension Agent.
