DAY TWO Session #1 – Solution Stories: Where Grassroots Innovation, Community-Driven Policy, and Future Skills-Oriented Learning Can Take Us. How can innovation ecosystems, public policy and education be re-imagined to best serve a future-forward community? Leaders from The Diatribe, WMUx, Iris Technology, Brightly, and Grand Rapids Public Schools explore the latest trends in grassroots grassroots innovation, community driven policy and future skills-oriented learning. Session #2 – Future Stories: We're Not Alone How can we create compelling storylines that help people let go of the status quo and move confidently toward the future? Leaders from Michigan Rise, Atomic Object, Michigan Founders Fund, Hello West Michigan, and Crain's Grand Rapids Business explore the positive outcomes our region can achieve by examining other communities that have already achieved them. About the Series The 2023 Confluence Thought Series explores the community-wide effort to transform Grand Rapids into a regional tech hub. Over 20 leaders in education, talent development, public policy, and innovation partnerships explore the key variables likely to determine the effort’s success or failure. All sessions are free and open to the public but seating is limited so you must be registered to attend. All registered attendees will receive a complimentary parking pass for each day of the event.
