The devastating reports of the earthquake in the nations of Turkey and Syria and the lives lost and impact on the survivors living in poverty-stricken neighborhoods, touched the hearts of these high school musicians. Wanting to do something to help, they have found a charitable organization working in that region to bring disaster relief. Through the beauty of classical music, we can join together in common cause and do something to help with recovery from this terrible tragedy. PUERI QUARTET Hiro Yoshimura, violin. Joshua Cisneros, violin. Wyeth Minami, viola. Jasper Lee, cello. The Pueri Quartet formed in the fall of 2021 as part of the Young Chamber Musicians program, which was founded in 2008 by Susan Bates. Their primary coach is violinist Jory Fankuchen of the Chamber Music Society of San Francisco. They have performed in masterclass for Quatour Danel, the Miró Quartet and Telegraph Quartet violinist Eric Chin. This season, their goals include a bid for the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition in the Junior Division.
