You are cordially invited to Visit Santa Barbara’s Annual General Meeting and Luncheon on Wednesday, May 11 at the Santa Barbara Zoo. In honor of National Travel and Tourism Week, this year’s event will be focused on making our destination more friendly for all visitors, especially those with disabilities. We are honored to welcome special guest Victoria Strong, Founder and Executive Director of the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation. Victoria’s foundation is building Gwendolyn's Playground, the first fully-inclusive playground in Santa Barbara, helping to transform our public spaces to serve everyone in the community. We are also excited to welcome John Sage, Founder and CEO of Accessible Travel Solutions, the world's first tour operator to provide travelers and travel agents accessible travel services. The beautiful Santa Barbara Zoo location was selected because of their Certified Autism Center™ designation which focuses on a continued commitment for best practices surrounding neurodiversity. Make sure to arrive early for a special zoo animal meet and greet. Following the program, there will be a resource table available with several organizations that are focused on accessibility represented, who will be able to provide additional resources and information.
