The role of the design community—architects, engineers, planners and designers—has never been more pivotal as towns and cities confront daunting challenges, like climate extremes, affordability, sustainability and social equity. The Current In Design Awards shines a spotlight on the local people and projects that are rising to the challenge. Our keynote speaker Antoine Bryant, a national thought leader with 25 years in design, development and community engagement experience in Houston, Detroit and many cities around the US, will explore how responsive, thoughtful design and development can thrive where good work is recognized and valued.
