Looking for a small but impactful way to fight climate change and create cleaner air for kids? Come plant trees with us! Urban Montessori Charter School, a tuition-free TK-8 public charter school based on the teachings of Maria Montessori, has secured one of eight total Growing Green Communities grants in California. Administered by California ReLeaf and sponsored by PG&E, the grant is an urban forest incubator grant. Educators, staff, parents & students of Urban Montessori Charter School will work together with community activists & educators from 100k Trees for Humanity to plant a variety of trees. UMCS will work with community partners to develop & deliver relevant TK-8 curricula.
