This event is free and open to anyone in the community to attend. Additional support will be on hand for families with children and special needs, to ensure an enjoyable time for everyone! We have wonderful games, crafts, and gardening activities as well as educational materials to offer our participating families and community leaders during Mental Health Awareness Month. Free snacks will be available and a silent auction will serve as a fundraiser to support DSRC's mission to deliver much needed support to the most vulnerable members of our community. We look forward to seeing you there! This free event is sponsored by The Desert Sage Resource Center. The Desert Sage Resource Center is a non-profit organization built specifically to address the therapeutic needs of the rural and underserved areas of Northern Nevada. We provide access to evidence-based behavioral health services, psychological and forensic assessment, and psycho-education in order to reduce the effects of poverty and violence on adults and families who normally do not have access to such services. We strive to meet the behavioral health needs of the most vulnerable of our community by providing equitable access to services to restore emotional wellbeing, combat the impact of violence through mental health support, and assist families out of poverty stemming from mental health challenges.
