Thanks in part to a grant from the Humor Therapy Fund of the Scranton Area Foundation and support from Laugh to Live, LLC, NAMI Northeast Region will host several events where laughter and humor will be shared for healing and better understanding of mental health. Gab Bonesso, who speaks openly about living with bipolar disorder in her standup comedy and her public speaking engagements, will share her story and her hilarious humor at several events throughout the region beginning with a free, family and community friendly event on May 4 at The Cooperage Project, 1030 Main St., Honesdale at 6PM. Gab Bonesso will talk about her mental health journey with extreme raw honesty. She feels no shame in her mental health diagnosis and hopes to spread awareness and kindness to those living with a mental health disorder. Gab will answer questions from the audience.
