The Macatawa Area Coordinating Council in partnership with ODC Network has worked with the City of Holland and eligible homeowners to engineer and construct curb cut rain gardens to help protect the Lake Macatawa watershed for the past 4 years as part of a Rainscaping program. New bioswales at City Hall and Kollen Park will demonstrate more technical best management practices in an urban setting and lakeside property.
In addition to the walking tour, we will also discuss how Project Clarity, an initiative of the ODC Network to restore the Macatawa Watershed, facilitates a training program for landscape contractors to learn about stormwater best management practices.
Wear comfortable shoes to walk approximately 8 blocks.
