Description

Tasks will include removal of invasive ivy, Himalayan blackberries, holly, and knotweed, while planting native species along the Tualatin River. Hand tools and work gloves will be provided, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves and a pair of hand pruners if possible. The work party will run from 9 am – noon followed by a lunch for participants afterwards, courtesy of the West Linn Lions Club. This event is in collaboration with Tualatin Riverkeepers. Tualatin Riverkeepers (TRK) is a community-based nonprofit working to protect, restore, and enjoy the Tualatin River watershed by promoting environmental stewardship, and we LOVE when our community volunteers with us!
