Dive into the world of food and beverage photography! In this immersive event, we will review essential techniques to get started in food photography, utilizing off-camera lighting from Profoto, like the A2. Learn how small light setups can have a big impact! Kate will review how to work with the lights, what modifiers to use, and why, as well, she will highlight elements of styling, composition, lens selection, and more.  Attendees will have the opportunity to photograph staff at The Collective as they create signature cocktails. From there we will photograph some of their amazing, seasonal menu items. What's Included in Your TicketYour ticket price includes a drink on Glazer'sHands-on experience with Profoto lightingIn-Person instruction on capturing fun and creative food and beverage images!What to BringAttendees should bring a mirrorless or DSLR camera with a hot-shoe. 1-2 lenses - We recommend one be a little wide in the 20-35 range, and one in the 50 - 85 rangeExperience Level: Camera - Intermediate; Lighting - Beginner Attendees should have a basic understanding of using manual mode including ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed, and white balance, and how to change these settings on their cameras. IN PARTNERSHIP WITHAbout Kate HaileyKate Hailey is a freelance photographer and photography educator based in the Pacific Northwest. Kate’s love of photography started at a very young age, with artistic and musical influences from both her father and mother, she was bound for creative pursuits. As a teenager, she began to learn the art of lighting, as a photo assistant. Over the years she has explored the world and found her true voice in capturing stories of people and places along the way. Kate leads workshops, photowalks, and photo tours, focusing on topics she holds dear, from lighting and portraiture, to travel and exploring creative techniques.  If you are on the waitlist for this event, you will receive a notification, via email, if a space becomes available for you. The event may be canceled if ticket minimum sales aren't met. PRICING, FEES & REFUNDS In the event of a refund, Eventbrite Fees are not refundable. Eventbrite fees are only refunded if an event is canceled. We will issue a full refund up to 4 days before the event date; or a 50% refund up to the day of the event, if however, we are able to fill the spot, we may issue a full refund. No-shows will not be refunded. Refunds are unavailable post-event date.
