Has your bike chain ever skipped a gear or maybe maybe a weird noise? Have you noticed that bike doesn't shift as well as it used to? Let's figure it out. In this class, you'll learn all about your bikes drivetrain which includes the chain, chain rings, gears, derailleurs and shifters. It's a lot to cover but basic drivetrain maintenance doesn't have to be hard. The class covers how clean and oil your chain, look for signs of wear, determine when parts need replaced, and how to adjust your shifters/derailleurs so your bike shifts nice and smooth. This class is packed with information that will keep your bike operating smoothly and help you avoid costly repairs. FCW's bike school classes are roughly 2 hours long and provide a combination of instruction, demonstration, and guided practice. Please wear comfortable clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty and closed toed shoes for safety. FCW can provide gloves, aprons, and safety glasses on request. *FCW's Bike School classes are free to those facing economic hardship.
