Rain gardens and rain barrels put rainfall to use, reducing the need for irrigation. Save money while protecting our water supply. Thanks to the support and donation from Coca-Cola, their local syrup plant in Columbus is donating 100 syrup barrels and the kits needed to convert those into rain barrels. Hosted by Keep Columbus Beautiful on Saturday, March 18, up to 100 households and community organizations will be able to sign-up for a free rain barrel. Participants will attend one of two workshops on that day either at 11am to 1pm to learn how to convert and install their rain barrel. Participants will also receive a free lunch provided by Coke. Pre-registration is required and supplies are limited.
