This program includes a craft, creating t-shirts with pollinator stamps. Please bring a plain, light colored t-shirt to use for the event. Led by naturalist and educator, Jerry Schneider of Morpho Productions.
Friday, March 31, 4:30 PM - Library Annex / Courtyard (Weather permitting)
Grades 1- 8, caregivers welcome but not required. (Ages 6-14)
Learn about our local pollinators, featuring bees, bats,
hummingbirds, beetles, dragonflies, and butterflies. These important critters help pollinate
our orchards, back yard gardens, and our rain forests.
How do we build and habitat to help our pollinators? What time of year should we mow our
fields that is most beneficial to pollinators? What about all those dandelions that first appear in
the Spring? Learn about it, and more with this fun, educational program!
At the end of the program, kids will create a one-of-a-kind t-shirt design using spray bottle dye and pollinator shaped stamps.
IMPORTANT: Participants will need to bring a light colored t-shirt in their size to the program to use. Alternatively, families can purchase a t-shirt on-site for $5.00. If your family is interested in participating and would benefit from financial assistance for a shirt for the children in your family, please contact Neena McBaer, Children's Program Coordinator, at [email protected]
