I can’t wait to perform my life's work for you! Together we'll make a happy ruckus in an airy, colorful room surrounded by great books.  I've played exciting gigs in cool places but an intimate house concert at Roebling Books holds special magic. It can get (comfortably) loud but includes sweet spots where you can hear a pin drop—dynamics unattainable in larger venues. The sound is first rate and you'll hear exactly what I hear; see what I do up close. I've thrown everything into a career-spanning show performing songs I wrote for The Raisins, The Bears, psychodots, my solo albums. If you’ve watched Fetters Is Cheap! on Youtube you’ll get the drift… but I’ll play more songs at Roebling. The concert features stripped-down acoustic / vocal renditions but mostly rocked-out electric ones backed with studio tracks custom-mixed from source sessions—with cameos from notable musicians. I have to play my best to keep up! My son Sam describes the concert as “performance + guitar lesson + recording workshop + storytelling time". Between songs feel free to ask questions or comment, that’s part of the fun. We’ll break midway so you can freshen your drinks (BYOB!) and grab a snack. We'll provide water, ice, cups, etc. Only 35 seats are available for this event so please don't wait to grab a ticket: these concerts sell out quickly. It will be my only public show this Spring. Doors at 6 p.m. Show at 7 p.m. sharp. *** Please: No talk during songs, no cell phones or recording during the concert; distractions are a buzzkill. Selfies are swell during intermission and at the end. FAQs: What can I bring into the event? BYOB! Bring alcoholic beverages because we can't offer them. Roebling has tasty snacks for purchase and will provide cups, ice and water. Merch? Yes! Merch Girl Swany Fetters will offer a nice assortment of goodies, some quite rare. I’m happy to sign stuff, too. Plus, Roebling is a brilliantly curated bookstore you may find irresistible. Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? No minimum age – but adult themes, humor, and a gleeful obscenity or two might pop up during a Fetters show. What are my parking options? Plenty of space on the streets around the bookstore. What's the refund policy? Due to limited seating there are no refunds, so yes: please commit. Otherwise we’re stuck with a seat we could have filled. Oh, the horror ! In that case is my ticket transferrable? Absolutely, just make sure the transferee is as nice as you are and let Swany know upon arrival. Her table’s set up near the door. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Nope. A screen shot on your phone will suffice. We'll have your name on a list in case of tech problems, so don’t worry. Wheelchair access? Yes. Roebling has a ramp, wide hallways and it'll be a snap to move chairs around to accomodate; happy to do so.
