Join us at the Hunt Institute on March 22nd for an ImpactNights™ where we will discuss How Can the Inflation Reduction Act Empower Climate Action.For this month's conversation, we will be focusing on the latest intersection of government and climate action - the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). How close or far away are we to our emission reduction goals as a planet, a country, and a city? We will explore what is and is not working. In-person: Check-in begins at 5:00PM, grab a cup of coffee, and network with like-minded professionals. At 5:30PM, we break out into our subject-specific sessions. At 6:30PM, we wrap things up and everyone is invited to a reception to continue the conversation. Remote: Please designate your intention to attend remotely on your RSVP; we will send out information on specific breakout sessions once available. FOR ZOOM ATTENDEES: JOIN AT 5:30PM FOR INITIAL REMARKS. Each session leader will share some conversation background about their breakout session topic. We are excited to share three breakout sessions!We will be exploring this timely topic in the usual format of small, expert-led discussion sessions. The breakout sessions are: Building Efficiency & Electrification We will explore the basics of the IRA and why it was passed as well as its market opportunity for solar energy projects. Included in this will be a discussion on how to go electric (on both a residential and corporate level) as well as information on IRA tax credits and incentives. Renewable Energy & Transportation This discussion will highlight the potential impact of renewable energy, specifically highlighting transportation electrification and its associated IRA funding.
