Vine & Dine for Parks is the signature fundraising event for the Redding Parks & Trails Foundation. It is held each May at Redding’s City Hall. The 2023 event will feature 11–13 local chefs who each prepare their gourmet specialties for attendees to sample. These delicious offerings are each paired with a different wine, provided by locally owned Redding Grocery Outlet who have underwritten this event since its inception. Local craft brews are also featured each year. The event includes music and a Silent Auction. The Foundation is committed to raising $10,000 annually through this event to help fund a park, trail, or open space project.
Vine and Dine for Parks has grown into a vibrant community event that offers a unique opportunity to share the Foundation's mission and vision, raise essential funding for park, trail, and open space projects, and offer support to local chefs and restaurants. The 2022 Vine & Dine for Parks event sold out ahead of the event date for the first time in 5 years of holding the event and we hope to continue to build on this success in the coming years.
The 2023 Vine and Dine for Parks beneficiary will be the new Redding Bike Park. The Bike Park is part of the larger Caldwell Park Restoration Project (2022 – ongoing) and was in fact one of the driving factors behind the grant application being selected enabling this large project to move forward. The Foundation is especially excited to raise these funds in collaboration with the Redding Trail Alliance who were instrumental in the design of the Redding Bike Park project and grant application.
