Participants will interact directly with biologists as they discuss the natural history, biology, and management of bobwhites and other members of the grassland bird guild. Morning classroom sessions will cover: Quail biology, natural history, and population trends,Habitat management practices, including forestry and agriculture,Cost-share programs,Local and national conservation efforts,And more.LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDEDThe afternoon sessions will be held in the field at the historic Little Hobcaw Plantation, with topics including: Equipment (selection, safety, and operation),Native plant identification and wildlife value, andOverview of forestry and agricultural management practices on the property.**Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service offers its programs to people of all ages, regardless of race, color, gender, religion, national origin, disability, political beliefs, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital or family status and is an equal opportunity employer.**
