Anyone and everyone are welcome to this volunteer event! No prior trail maintenance experience required.
Ever wonder how you can still get outside when the trails you love to ride are too wet? Ever wonder how you can help those trails dry more quickly so you can ride sooner?
Clearing drains is one of the best, and easiest, ways to keep trails draining well and running smoothly in a rainy climate like Chattanooga. It is a simple skill but also time consuming because each trail has a lot of drains.
This day will be focused on showing you the techniques for effective drain cleaning and giving you ample opportunity to practice these skills around Raccoon mountain.
The goal is to have you walk away with the confidence and the skills necessary to spend some of your off days helping to keep the drains clear around town. As they say, many hands make light work!
