Duval Co + Lab’s free Summit is back! Dedicated to raising awareness for better health, this dynamic youth team will lead 150 high school students in a day of discovery about the what’s and how’s of self-medication and the risks of fentanyl. It doesn’t stop there – the students will work together to identify root causes and actionable solutions to deepen connection and embrace health.
The free event starts at noon with a free t-shirt, lunch, photo booth, and outdoor fun. After lunch, the high school students will participate in interactive large and small groups ultimately designing solutions that they will rank and commit to. High School students across the US are facing increased overdose death rates and this group of teens is dedicated to stopping that statistic in its tracks! A study published in Science Journal revealed that a lack of social connection is a greater detriment to health than obesity, smoking, and high blood pressure…and that health connects improve physical health and mental & emotional well-being. The Duval Co + Lab teens are mapping the way to a healthier future for themselves and for the community.
