I am SO excited to be back at Halfseas Wine this coming week for a Tuesday *evening* pop-up that is going to be sooooo fun because it combines TWO of my favorite things - vintage AND Amaro! ( plus this is the perfect chance for all our friends who can't make it to our weekend shopping hours - come through!! ) the quick details - Tuesday March 14th 6 till 8 pm at Halfseas Bottle Shop $6 Amari Tasting ( free for wine club members ) Curated Vintage 425 NW Market St. Seattle 98107 What is Amaro? Amaro is an Italian herbal liqueur that you typically consume after dinner as a "digestif" - thought to help with digestion after eating. Amaro is traditionally served neat, and meant to sip on and enjoy slowly. I was introduced to Amaro in early 2022 and immediately became incredibly intrigued by this delicious herbal treat. There are so many different Amaris to explore and they vary in bitterness and taste. Once you have developed a bit of a palette for them, they are the *most* delicious treat. I have a few favorites that are my go-to and I am always exploring and learning about new bottles. Oftentimes you can find me sitting at a local bartop, writing in my journal and sipping on an Amaro. It's one of my favorite things to do! In collaboration with Halfseas, I am curating a selection of vintage that is inspired by the Italian coast, and lovers of Amari. Think easy to wear silk tops, maxi skirts, fresh chinos, colorful prints and structured blazers.
